Hi, I'm Rose (she/they)! I am a multi-platform science journalist. Explainers, fun pop culture pieces, deeply-reported print features, fact-checking, audio production, hosting and writing TikToks — I do it all. I mostly cover disability and mental health, but I report on topics outside those beats. My story debunking a bogus theory about transgender kids was nominated for a 2024 GLAAD Media Award.
My work has appeared in Scientific American, Slate, New Scientist, Fatherly and more. In the fall of 2023, I interned at WNYC's Radiolab and completed a master's degree in science, health and environmental reporting at New York University. Currently, I am the inaugural STAT News Disability in Health Care Reporting Fellow.
An Ohio native, I relish summer storms and a doughy sky. A former cook, I crave raspberry sorbet and the sweet stink of fish-sauce caramel. An aspiring human, I like to ride my bike.
